Headlight upgrade

I am closing in on the finish line with my 69 camaro project. I want to upgrade the headlights to give a more modern custom look. If not, what do you recommend that are more for a custom look? I am going to be adding relays and circuit breakers so I'm not concerned about the lamps drawing too much power. Thanks in advance.

Check out Delta Lights, The quality is awesome they have different lens styles (flat and curved) and some with integrated city light as well as Hi/Lo HID conversions, not even BMW has Hi/Lo HID. Check them out at

Not really a good pic but I changed out my headlights for some Diamond Clear Lens with an H4 silverstar bulb, and since i added relays to the headlights the light is REALLY white

Has anyone used these style headlights? Just wondering if they were worth it. I guess for the price and shipping they might be.

Does anyone make a real HID light for the 7" round guys?

I have several extra sets of OEM HID ballasts and 4100K Philips burners/bulbs for sale if anyone is interested. All you need are housings that will accept an H4 style bulb. I can set you up with the adapters, HID setup, and I can also order you housings if you don't already have them for cars with 7" or 5 3/4" lights. Beware - the Deltas dont fit some models - I found this out on Chris Jacob's 68 GTX... they did not fit in the outer housings... I asked them what to do and they simply said "Well, you'll just have to cut a hole in the fender" - - - needless to say they did not go on...

There actually those APC Euro Clear lens I got at advanced haha

...but im gonna change them once again for some projector headlights with the angel eye around the edge

I have a set of Delta headlights on my 68. Classic industries sells them (they don't tell you the brand in the catalog) and the price is very reasonable. Think i paid around $30 a light. I got the flat faced xenon ones. The part numbers in the CI catalog are the same as on Delta's site FYI.

They are E code lights for the European style so they have a very difninitive cut off to ensure as much light goes on the road as possible. I've had a few people ask me why the lights are so special when they are not that bright... each person was standing facing my car so their eyes were far out of the path of the beam.

Forgot to add there are a couple pics of my car in my sig which show the Delta lights.

One other comment to add. They were difficult to install in the stock housings as the rear of the headlight has a large rubber gasket to seal the housing which is a larger diameter than the light. The rubber is much larger than the components it protects so you can squish it down when pushing it through the back of the housing. I Just pulled the housing off and installed the light in the housing and then installed the housing. This allowed me to ensure the rubber wasn't pinched.
