Damn thing was born to be a convertible. Absolutely beautiful.

I actually got to see the real thing in person a few weeks ago over at Design Center. It's even better looking in person.

Like the car but not the windshield frame. I guess I'm used to seeing the body color on all past models.

Also, 2010? Come on GM said they'll have hydrogen cars on the road by then. Doesn't make any sense.

No kidding! If they don't get their ass in gear the company will be dead by then. Afterall they are Americas leading car company at sucking ass.

Im a hard top man but Id sure dont mind looking at that convert.

The after market should be looking at these pics hard. First thing that needs fixed are the punny side mirrors. They dont look right at all.

Uhh, no...that would be Ford. And as far as getting our asses in gear, I believe we are already doing that. The Camaro is not going to "save" our company (not that it needs saving, mind you). Our most important products are just seeing the light of day (The 900 truck platform, the Acadia, Outlook, Enclave. And cars such as the Aura and new Malibu. We just have to hope our contract talks go well this year. We're doing fine, and will be a force in the years to come.

Tony....if we don't do a hidden headlight option than it's a safe bet that some aftermarket company will do one as a bolt on replacement, much like Roush does with those new fascias for Mustang.

Thanks for the pics!

This thing is sweet. I agree on the mirrors. too samll. Also not sure a bout the console gauges. The seats will definitely be used in years to come as popular PT convertible transplants. I can't describe all the things I like about it.

Nineball, that last "Cars" pic at the end is hilarious.

Well I hope you guys don't let that happen. It'd be a perfect nod to the original camaros. The photos shops in Hot Rod look perfect.

Wow.. I keep looking at the engine bay and thinking.. I hope the production version isnt like that... I would hate to 1. have to yank all that plastic off to work on it. and 2. worry about breaking the plastic when taking it apart...

:poke:No way, you can not get on a waiting list for another one until you get back on the one you already have, it's an unspoken rule. We are afraid you would just disassemble the new one too and we know your garage is just not big enough for two projects.......:lmao:

Didn't you know? GM isn't taking the hydrogen route... they're going cold-fusion car. :D

Looks sweet! I really like it, but I agree that the windshield frame looks a little goofy. Blacking it out would look better than chrome/stainless in my opinion.

why aren't there any pictures of the top up? you think it'll look good? and is it a soft top or hard top?

Nine Ball
01-06-2007, 02:19 PM
probably because the top doesn't work yet. I'd guess it was just a mock-up to give us a visual cue on the car as a convertible. Engineering the frame and top structure is something that will happen later, most likely.

I can see that in my garage err I mean my driveway as my garage is too full of projects. The neighbors and city really don't like non running partially disassembled cars sitting outside.:dunno:

I would assume, probably wrongly, that this is for starting the engine. Push button like the current Corvettes.

why is there a "radioactive" button on the dash?

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gifObviously, the car will be motivated by atomic powered turbines. Like the Batmobile. Robin, we’re ready to move out…..

I'm guessing that might be traction control. It doesn’t look like a button to me, but the big on/off does.

TonyL
01-10-2007, 01:28 PM
I can't see that being a traction control symbol. It's right next to the fan controls, but I still have no idea what that's about. It's the radiation symbol for sure. Odd choice.

It's the little arrow around it that got me thinking TC.

LOL, maybe the production wheels will look like radioactive symbols, and that really is traction control. HAHA
