OK guys I have 12" 1LE rotors and 12" B body spindles, is there a caliper bracket/kit to use a PBR type caliper with these other than an entire Baer kit? I know Baer has a 12" kit but I'd bet the bracket by itself isn't aaliable or way too expensive for just a bracket.

I tried a "search" and came up empty.

I've only seen brackets for a 13" rotor for sale separately. Give the guys at KORE a call.

Try using Wilwoods GMiii alumonim caliper, they make a direct replacement that is 10 lbs lighter a side than the stock one, and stronger than the small PBR claiper on the 1le, they are $99ea new

I made my brackets, but they were for the LS1 setup with stock spindles. If you have the B body spindles, why can't you use their caliper brackets?

B body spindles take the same caplier as the second gen. unless the newer B bodies(Impala SS) use a PBR type caliper and still swap on in place of F body spindles.

OK guys what's the difference between LS1 and C5 calipers/rotors? The KORE site says the C5 calipers have 40mm pistons vs 43mm for the LS1(smaller?) and that the C5 rotor is 1.25 thick roughly. Is the LS1 around 1" like the 1LE from the third gens? Maybe C4 stuff?

Still trying to figure this swap.

I cant confirm the bore sizes but the LS1/C5 rotors are the same thickness. 12" for the f-body, 13" for the Vette.

I actually did my own brake arrangement. I used a C4 rear 12"x.81" kit from Touring Classics & Used the b-body/1LE 12"x1" front rotor & Stainless Steel brakes aluminum dual piston calipers. They fit in the same spot as the D52 caliper, uses d52 pads, and are available with bores for manual or power apps.

Its not a the last set of brakes it will have but they do all right for now on the street.

difference is rotor back space. Aren't you using b spindles? Sell them 12" rotors and get a set of C5's. Check with Joe, he should have a set of brackets for you. http://www.geocities.com/diels12000/BrakesII.html

I've got a line on some 04 GTO calipers I might have to figure a swap.
