Caliper bracket mounting bolts. Only OEM should be trusted ?

I need to buy the bolts that hold the Corvette caliper brackets against my ATS spindles. I thought that theyr were the same as the 4th gen f body but turned out to be different when I finaly got started on the assembly.

Can I go with matching grade 8 bolts for these or do you guyz think OEM bolts are a must for this application?

Yeah I called gm and they said $6.84/bolt and 1 week. Local hardware store was $4.59 for all 4.

I purchased GM bolts and washers for my ATS spindles. The bolts are only threaded on the end and it also calls for a washer that is very thick. After seeing it I am glad I waited to get it from the dealer....

When I did my C4/13" conversion I needed different length bolts and went to the hardware store for grade 8.

      jfman,
I believe I used a 13/16 socket. The 4 bolts and washers came to $26.52 from the dealer.
