This is a little off topic, but Boilermaker - do you know what the tolerance on I-beam like you built your chassis jig out of is? I'm just curious more than anything. I'm sure it is well within the typical mfg. tolerances of a vehicle. At some point I'd like to build a chassis jig similar to this and I'm trying to figure out what the best material to use it - I-beam, rectangular tubing etc.
The Challenger is starting to shape up!

no clue at all!! You can tweak it easier than probably square or rectangle tubing. It wants to twist a little on the lift. After this car I am building a new table with 2x4 .25 wall tubing rails

That falcon is going to do the power tour eventually, its getting built in australia at the moment, alot of awesome engineering in that car, originally a right hand drive car but being built left hook pretty much specifically for the power tour as far as i know. Cant wait to see the finished project

we had a rat rod like that at the beach hop this year, it must have had hydraulics as it could put the frame on the ground and lift the wheels off the ground, or just on if he wanted to do a on the spot burnout with stuff all revs and definately not moving, was something different thats for sure, although the body was so low he couldnt have a roof so just cut it open and stick your head out

Its quite well behaved at low revs, but when it comes on boost you'd better be holding the wheel tight.
It does 50-100 faster than the sphincter muscle can slam shut... which is why some passengers crap their pants.

What wheels are you running on this thing? Your car looks awesome! I've always loved 69' A-bodies, but the F-body is my first love (HAHA).

Look like 17" Cragar D windows to me.

Yes, 17x9 Cragar D-window... they're VERY heavy. The boxes they came shipped in said 40lbs each. :hammer:
They'll be replaced with CCW Classics as soon as the budget allows. :twothumbs

Something about the shaved 66's that just does something to the lines of the car. I know they are just door handles, but they appear to break up the car as it should be. Maybe the lack of mirrors, I don't know but I've seen a few shaved 66's and something in the look is off in my eyes. Love the idea, loved the shaved look normally, just on these longer cars, it seems wrong. although that Tangerine color is pretty hot!

wow - this was taken in my hometown. I live just a few minutes away from that track - i pass it all the time...I grew up listening to the nascar cars race, and watched the goodyear blimp from our front porch.
