Well, Everything is pretty much done but the interior! Still working out minor mechanical kinks, but it's running and driving. the RJ502 mated to the TKO600 is an awsome combo. The 3.42 rear is a bit high, though.

OH YEA!! Lookin good! I can hardly believe that RJ502 will fit under that hood! It looks like it sits up pretty high. Great color and wheels too!

Man that is SWEEET! :6gears:

That color looks very close to a color I am considering, Silverstone Metallic (found on the Honda S2000 and Acura NSX). Which manufacturer's color is that and what did it come on?

Awesome car! Love your choice of wheels.

What are your plans for the interior and are you going to add the chin spoiler?

Also, when you say the 3.42 is too high do you mean you'd go for a numerically lower gear like a 3.23 or 3.08? Reason I ask is because I'm running a TKO500 in my 71 Camaro and am considering a swap up to 3.42s from my 3.08s. I know the first gear in the 500 is lower than in the 600. I'd imagine that your 502 would be a tire spin monster even with the 3.42s. Are you going for lower cruising rpms? Thanks!

Thanks! The 502RJ didn't fit under the steel cowl hood. I had to cut the substructure out of the hood, and 7/8" out of the intake runners...and still only have 1/4" max clearance

Yes, I mean going with something like a 3.73, or even 4.10. Taking off in first is a bear...it's reaching way out there, and is hard to keep the tires from spinning. Also, at 65MPH in 5th, it's taching about 1900...and just seems to be lugging. I'd just like to have a little more RPM at crusing speed...I know that may seem wierd.

No, the sheetmetal is mostly GoodMark stuff. The hood fit great before the bodyshop took the front end apart for part...now ALL of the front sheet metal needs re-alignment...LOOOOOng Story! So, the short answer is, yes, it's a good fitting hood.

Inside is going to stay very stock. I've got Autometer gauges mounted in a Covans panel and a 6 point rollbar in it so far. The seats will be a protouring type bucket in the front with stock everythingelse. I plan on useing 1980 door panels becuase of the 1-pice design.

You just need to cruise at 80+.

I'm with everyone else on the wheel/tire combo. Cough up the specs. We need backspacing, sizes etc. Right now.

Zee, Rears are 17X11 (5.75BS) with 315/35's, and the fronts are 17X9.5(5.5BS) with 275/40's. If I could change anything with the combo it would be to add another 1/4 BS to the front to make it 5.75. The wheels are Boze "Mesh". The guys at Boze have been great! We're still working a small issue with the front cap, but other than that all is great!
