Nice! How did you blend in the extractors? I am guessing you used one of the panel glues (Sem or Fusor)?

Lookin' good, keep the pics coming!

Yes, he did a great job on the extractors. I'm curious too to know how he massaged them in. Looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks restomod, but I am totally jealous of your build. You are getting your shell back and can start actually putting it together. Mine is in the "black hole" called the "bodyshop" where time seems to stand still and estimates and promises don't seem to mean much. :here!:

I have to say it again though, LOVE that color. Keep the pics coming and I will live vicariously through your build. :Alchy:

Take your time. Less chance for mistakes. You can't use it until spring anyways. Plus there is shake down period. From my experience you will be one happy camper come this spring. Great updates.

I'm just a concerned fellow car member and big fan of Pontiacs.

Very sweet car.I love every aspect of your car. What engine/tranny are you running?I like pontiacs also, it is cool to see some of them built on here.I love my chevys, but it sis nice to see some thing else built.

restomodbird69

Wow, incredible car!!! I was wondering if you can give me some info on the panhard bar and mounting brackets. I need to set mine up the same way due to clearence issues.

And i have a deep backspaced wheel, How did you do the e-brake? Can't even begin to try and figure out how the cables will link up.

Any info would be much appreciated.

And again i love your car, everything looks perfect.

restomodbird69
02-26-2007, 03:00 PM
the panhard bar is part of my dse quadralink,my e brake is a lokar hand brake that is mounted on the tranny hump so there is no more console for me.The cables are ran in the top of the tranny tunnel.

Keep up the beautiful work.

How is the progress? Any shots of the car in color yet, or the hood on the car?

Nice work so far, excellent choice!

Also, I'd be interested in a dash...any thoughts on availability and price?

Would 5" guages fit, or are those for 3-5/8"?

restomodbird69
05-15-2007, 04:05 PM
I pulled my car from the first shop since he wasn't getting it dine and I am glad i did.We found lots of things that were halfassed.so now oit is in a much better place and should be home in a few weeks.the dash will take a 5" gauge with no problem.I had that in mind when i made it.I will post some pics when i have some good ones of it assembled.

The 69 Birds look so much cooler than the 69 Camaro. :box2:

Phil

restomodbird69
08-09-2007, 06:04 PM
I am not sure exactly how much it is lowered.it has dse quadralink in the rear and their speed kit 2 in the front.i will have to check the height against a factory car to see.

09-13-2007, 05:23 PM
You are so correct in that the 69 Firebird look so much cooler thus the reason why I have not gave up my dream and goal for my project. You gents have taken it to another level that is for sure and my hats off to you.

Awsome build, I really like the color. Are you going to put stripes anywhere? Who is doing the interior? What engine/tranny are you putting in it. Your profile dosen't say where you are located. Are you near Huntsville? If so, I would love to come by and look at your progress. Keep the pics coming!
