I think jailbird bound Billy Lane came up with this on one of his bikes.

I saw a picture about a year and a half ago of a 350Z with these wheels and figured they would start popping up all over the place. This is the first I've seen of them since then, though.

Anti bling. I think it is an interesting idea, but one that will become played out and boring very quickly!

Info from another site:
"Forgiato Wheels showed off their Radurra wheels today. Instead of spokes, this three-piece wheel uses a two-inch thick solid piece of polycarbonate --hard coated to reduce scratching. Representatives say the Frogiato Radurra (Italian for Forged Clear) has been successfully SAE tested and will go on sale in 22 and 24-inch diameters immediately, with 26 and 28-inch examples to come a bit later. Prices start at $2,000 each."

Polycarbonate is not chemical resistant and can degrade quickly.
Those wheels will never last for years.:drive2:
Still pretty cool looking.

Ugh. Ricer-city. Can’t wait to see them on civics with fluorescent painted calipers & drums.

Still pretty cool looking. not that i like those wheels but . poly carbonate can be bought with a coating that is scratch and chemical resistant. like what they use for race car windows. plus there thick enough to be bullet-proof in case someone wants to shoot your brakes out. (lol):poke:
