I see that DSE says their tubs will fit up to a 335, but is that just the tub or with the leaf spring? I'm wanting ot put an aftermarket clip in while using their deep tubs.

What is the width from outside-of-stock-rail to outside-of-stock-rail?

You can only fit a 335 if you notch the frame rail. On a '67 / '68 335 is about the biggest you're going to get in the tub, with a fully notched rail. You should be able to fit a 345 on a '69. I can't recall exactly off of the top of my head, but I believe I had about 15 1/4" from the center of my notched frame rail to the un-rolled wheel lip on my '68. Even with aftermarket rails, the limit would be a 345 as the tubs are only 3" deeper. If you want anymore room, you'd have to fab up some wider tubs, or section and widen the DSE tubs.

Thanks for the info, Ralph.

Leaf springs(even with offset hangers) will interfere with tire if you're looking to go with wider tubs than dse, needless to say a new back half frame will be needed.

I guess I am wondering if I can back half, using the DSE tubs, if the leaf springs limit tires to 335, or is it the frame rails? Can I get more room with a 4-link and DSE tubs than with their tubs and offset leaves? What hits first?

ie: If I leave stock leaf springs but deep-tub, the springs are the limiting factor. Nevermind the frame rails and springs, but use the deep-tubs, how wide can we go?
