That's only partially true. I am working with a dealer for both Dynacorn and Goodmark and there are differences between the panels (although they do come from Taiwan).

For example, on a full floor, Classic Industries (which I have been told is owned by the same people that own Dynacorn...so it is a Dynacorn piece) is very different than the Goodmark floor at the front tranny tunnel. The Classic Industries (Dynacorn) tunnel has MUCH more pronounced angles where the Goodmark's is rolled. In fact, the dealer I am working with reshapes this area to match the Dynacorn floor and actually prefers the Dynacorn. I saw them with my own eyes, side by side last weekend in his shop. The difference is obvious.

I am not sure about the fenders. My dealer (www.musclecarmetal.com (http://www.musclecarmetal.com)) builds complete shells from Classic Industries and Goodmark panels and he can very explicitly compare and contrast the differences between them as they align differently on his jigs when he builds a shell. I just put Goodmark fenders and doors on my 69... I think you must tweak all the panels some for best fit. body lines at door- front of fenders for grille fit and back corner where fender lines up with post and lower windshield moulding.

just about all the replacement panels come from Golden Liegion or something like that in taiwan. I did some research about this for the chevelle before ordering anything. Quarter panels can be a nightmare sometimes or just alot of woek. We spent $600 each on our quarters and I can honestly say, they fit perfect. I will not need any adjustments on them at all. Goodmark offered 2 different full quarters for the car. #1(cheaper) made in taiwan, #2($600) was made with GM Dies or stamps. Worth every penny. I have ordered new trunk pans, inner outer wheelhouses and drop off panels from goodmark and some require a little adjustments but nothing rediculous. I know a guy who just finished putting new quarters on a 69 with dynacorn panels and he spent alot of extra time to make them fit right.

I looking for the best quality. I talked with Classic Ind. today and got a song and dance about their quality, he stated that they were made in Taiwan but had the blessing of GM, in fact he stated that they sold to GM dealers their fenders. Their fenders will have the OER stamp. CI price was $300. I haven't talked to Ricks but they have two different fenders they offer a Goodmark for about $200 and an Amercian Made fender for $700- big diff. The sales man at Classic stated the American made fender was more due to it being union made not because it was better quality. He stated Goodmark, Dynacorn, Classic all buy from the Taiwan shop, or some other producer overseas, ie. Taiwan. and the quality is similar. I'm not sure I buy that and would like to get other opinions. I agree with Gordz and that the fitment is worth every cent. I'll give Tony at musclecarmetal a line. With a name like that he should know a little about the subject. Thanks I'll keep you posted because I'm going to check this out thoroughly.

I know this topic has poped up before, you try and do a search, thats where I found some info. Those quarters Were a couple hundred bucks more but man does it feel good to get the old one off and throw the new ones on and literally just weld them in and be done. Good luck

I've done the search but couldn't come up with anything definitive. I've also posted on Team Camaro and awaiting a reply. I'll talk with Rick's, Goodmark and a local resto guy also. I wish I could get a couple upfront for comparison but they want $150 s/h per fender- I'd spend close to 5 bills just to compare the three offered. I'd appreciate it if you know of a particular thread that talks of comparsions. Thanks

I just installed a pair of goodmark full rear quarters on a 69 Camaro hardtop i have going and i dont know why but the DR side was a excellent fit , the pass side for some reson required some real patience and adjustment....

I also just bought a new Fender , deck lid , lower valance for my 69 convert camaro , i think the fender was a goodmark and i was really supprised at how well it lined up with the GM door and bolted on easily .
The gap between the door and the fender was even from top to bottom.
The Declid was a golden Liegion and a easy bolt on fit but was a bit bowed ( LOW on the ends & high in the Middle ) nothing that cant be worked out though.

I think no matter what , Unless its a GM piece , all of it may require a little finessing - sometimes you get lucky and get a part that doesnt.

Radiator supports: The $99 CI piece is crap. Holes are in the wrong place on the driver's side and doesn't sit right between the frnders. The part where it folds over on top was rounded and not bent enough. The $249 piece fit right in and was perfect.
I hate the expression, but you do get what you pay for with this stuff.

Talked with Rick's he stated all the stuff comes from Taiwan, the USA made advertised in their catalog isn't offered yet. Tony @ musclecarmetal.com likes the Goodmark stuff the best and has apparently used all others. I've heard opinions that run both extremes on all this stuff, even the NOS, which I was told could be returned ill-fit parts from OE inventory.

Everyone thinks that our pride and joys are pin straight and perfect to blueprint specs but as a hot rodder and my learning bodywork from my uncle and he told me you can have 2 of the same year cars side by side, one from begining of run and one from last and neither will be exactly the same. Case in point he had 2 67 Mustangs replacing the rear panels as both had been rear ended,,,, both owned by same couple. Hers was a nightmare,certified, and his the parts just fell right on.
But i will agree if the price is too salty you get what you pay for. Most cheapoer parts are only partially stamped from over seas.
I actually get a kick out of piecing parts together from old parts sometimes (I know some people want new stuff I just can afford all new stuff)as I have had to do this all my life.
I grew experienced keeping my cars on the road with very little or no money.
