New Mirrors for the Heavy Chevy?

Well after looking at several different styles of mirror for the Chevelle, Southern rods came out with these... here they are for your review.
They look familiar, like something from the 80's with an added turn signal and they sell for $89 a pr and come with different wedge gaskets for fitting.

We put a set just like that on a 40 buick. They looked great. But you could see a thing out of them.and they vibrated really bad. Check and see how they mount.the ones we had were mounted through the bottom of the mirror with a small allen head screw. went through the door from the inside.again they looked great couldnt see how they mounted from the outside of car.but the brass plug that held the mirror on kept coming loose. Yours may be much better than the ones we got. Tim

I got a set of motorcycle mirrors for my cavalier during one of my aerodynamic testing kicks. They dont vibrate, they stay tight and they are wide angle so visibility is better. Mine are from an R6, but there are a bazillion different ones that look similar to the ones you posted. Go to a motorcycle junkyard or cruise ebay for a while. Heres a pic for kicks. Love it or hate it they cut down on wind noise and increased visibility.
