      HOK Digital Paint Booth

Okay saw this in the web and decided to buy it. The only problem i have had so far is trying to stop painting my car. It's a blast and great for giving you idea's for your car. It was only $60.00 so i my eye's it's money well spent.

The image quality has been reduced by my web gallery. I can't seem to figure out how to stop it from doing that.

I have this program. Its okay, I wish it were a little more hi-tech and not so basic. The $500 version is for everycar in the database. The $60 version gives you one car of your choice. I bought the cheaper version of photoshop ($120) but I've yet to figure it out. It is good for giving you color ideas but don'tplan on any high quality renderings.

it's an excellent choice if your looking for paint idea's and it' very easy to use. Well worth the $60. It sure is cheaper then a $500.00 to $1000.00 rendering

I'm walking a tight-rope on this one. LOL

First, I would agree that this is an excellent, comprehensive and relatively inexpensive alternative for trying out paint schemes. I've reviewed this product recently and they did an awesome job with every aspect of it. However, I would caution potential buyers to make sure the vehicle they're looking to paint is available to ensure their total satisfaction.

It would be a major undertaking for HOK to create a database of every single vehicle, in the perspective you want, with body modifications, unlimited wheels, wheel sizes, paint schemes and graphics, stance, etc. If they did offer such a comprehensive product, it would be a truely break-through tool for builders and owners alike. Though I can't imagine it would come at a bargain-basement price.

The $500-$1000 range you are referring to is a totally different category of services that most of us offer. Some use a photoshop chop technique, some have a hand-drawn, digitally (or hand) rendered style and others are completely CAD built models. Whatever the media, our clients are not only paying for a simple color change of a photo. They are also paying for presentation quality artwork and professional design guidance/feedback through their project. Most of us went to school for design and have worked in and around the design communty for years. Adobe Photoshop is the software many of us use and no, it's not cheap. That was a $700 investment along with all the other insanely priced art expenses. My wife wanted to kill me!

I hope this hasn't offended anyone. My sincerest apologies if it has. Bottom line is, $60 is a great price for a fantastic product. Some of you may need more than what that software currently offers.

I doubt what you posted would offend anyone. You guy's offer a great service well worth the money in my opinion. What most people don't realize is if you have a professional rendering you and your fabricator can be on the same page. I've had at least 4 renderings done from pencil to full blown drawings and it has alway's save time and money.

HOK Paintbooth is a great option to look at color combo's in a split second. I think we layed down at least 50 different color combo's in no less then 30 minutes. It was a great tool to aid my Dad in making color choices
