How Does An Aftermarket Stereo Look Mounted In A 67/68 Camaro Dash???

I wanna mount my new deck in the dash of my 67. But since the dash is slanted slighty, will the deck be slanted also? It'd be okay if it was, I just don't want it to not line up with the rest of the dash.

My other option is putting or making a custom enclosure for the deck and mount it to the factory console where the gauges would be. My gauges aren't hooked up since I have a Covans Classic Gauge Kit.

Some pics and advice would help big time. I'm dropping the car off tommorrow morning to have the stereo put in. Thanks!

Don't cut the car..............it's just mean........

If you cut the dash keep the piece ,then if you come to sell it can be replaced if needed.

mount it in the glove box.it will look like sh-t if you mount it in the dash.
just buy a head unit with a remote

DSE makes a panel to mount AC controls where the factory AC controls are. Take that same idea and use it for a radio. Thats what I did. It keeps it the correct angle and allows you to have the radio in the dash. My dash had already been cut so it wasnt an issue for me. My problem with putting it in the glove box is, it would have been more difficult to do that because of the vintage air. Im not crazy in love with the looks in the dash, but I dont have too many choices.

There is a company , cant think of the name but they make stock looking radio's that have modern electronics, there is a place to plug in cd players and amps, someone will chime in and name the place.

If you look at my console thread, you can see what I did. I bought a dash stereo adapter for a 240 series volvo, and cut the frame around it. Hard to explain, but if you have one you would know exactly what I'm talking about. Check out the picture, and let me know if you have any questions.
