I am leaning towards dropping my 1969 camaro down and going with the intro (Matrix) wheels? I will not be mini-tubbing? But I will go with 3" DSE drop leafs in the rear 12 bolt standard rear end. Also 2" drop springs in the front. The car will have a BBC under the hood. I read that drop spindles are not the preferred choice, Right? Anyway what are the largest and widest wheels and tires I can go with on front and rear? I have read alot of posts and there are so many conflicting answers and ideas I am confused?
I would like to go:
front: 17 X 8
rear: 19 X 10 with correct backspacing?
Could someone help me out on this issue.

Is it possible to stuff a 17-18 X 10" wide under the rear without mini-tubs on a 1969 camaro? What are my limits?

I personally would "not" go with a 10" wide wheel. You can fit a 275 on a 9" wheel and have a nice safety margin.
I also agree with a 18f and 19r.
No dropped spindles! Stick with lowering springs "less expensive" or switch to coilovers "more expensive".
I will agree 18x9 is about as wide as you can go. I know some do not like this look but you can get a 20x8.5 under a 69. Tim

i did a 67 last month , all i could fit under it and not have it sticking out in the fender was a 8.5 with a 5.5 back , 20x8.5 with a 5.5 and 19x8 with a 5 back .

I stuffed 18 x 10's with a 275 tire on my '69, but it has 2" drop DSE springs. The tires do rub at times. So with a 3" drop or if you drive very aggressive, I would go with 18 x 9.

So if you roll the lip up on the fender and you drop 3" w/DSE springs it is possible to go 18-19X10 in the rear? If thats ok what length would be best for backspacing? Sorry about all the questions but these wheels are expensive and I would like to get the order right the first time.
