69 tail pan??? the one I have is crap

What do you folks do about the crappy aftermarket 69 Camaro tail pan stampings?

They dont have a very good line around the lights.
What do you all do about this?

The repop I have now is just not going to cut it for me.

Mine is damaged along the bottom and up around the light on the right side... Its a little to far gone to save.
I cant get a good pic of it atm.

You might try herehttp://heartbeatcity.net/ they are stamping out some camaro parts. I didn't see them listed on his site but he does have them in his ebay store. They say all of their parts are U.S. stamped. I beleive his store name is heartbeatcity.

I had an aftermarket tailpan too (had), cut it up and threw it in the dumpster. I bought the one from hearbeatcity, fit and quality was a whole lot better. Its not cheap but worth it IMO.

NOS seem to go on ebay for $650-$1000. The $450 US made repro is not bad compared to that.

I do apologize, he just says NOS in his auction titles. If you do a search on him, on this board, you'll find he's not very well liked.

I'm sure the numbers matching spark plug wire guys get excited over it.

If the $500 tail pan is as nice as I have heard it is, its worth it.

Jim, the owner of Heartbeat City is as knowlegable as ANYONE, anywhere on NOS and rare Camaro parts. He sets the market price for rare and NOS parts and yes he does sell them!

The reproduction parts that he manufactures are the best available for any part that he makes. His tailpanel is exact. If you want the best, here it is. Get out your wallet as quality stills costs a lot of money!

By the way, he is no clown, he has the correct parts and you do not! He is a VERY particular and detail oriented person when it comes to parts and business. That's why the reproduction parts he manufacturers are so nice. Unlike Goodmark and Dynacorn, he take the time and spends the needed money to make totally correct reproductions parts instead of "close" imitations.

I do not know if there is any relationship between Heartbeat City and Inline Tube. If there is, it would not suprise me as many of the business people who enjoy success in one business expand in another supporting business.

Classic Tube is owned Jim Fix. His wife is Lauren Fix. Laurens father Jonas started Stainless Steel Brakes Corporation as I remember. I believe Lauren is still involved with SSBC with her brother. Classic, get it, case of one business creating another supporting business.
