I am looking to run some steel braided brake lines. Does anyone know of any stores that sell them over the counter.

nope, but check out a local hydraulics/aircraft shop. The "brake lines" are nothing special, and most shops will custom make lines while you wait. They won't have the little DOT tag but I have never had a problem, if they are good enough for aircraft they will be just fine on a car.

I use Spiegler on my sportbike, but another company makes them also and it looks like they do cars too.

The TireRack sells Goodridge.

Don't know about over the counter, but Inline Tube carries them over the net. I ordered on Monday, had them on Friday.

Speedwaymotors.com has good pricing on them too, and quick shipping.

The local performance shop here in Sacramento does. If your city has something similar check them out.
