Quart is plenty . I did my subframe, upper and lower control arms, spindles and coil springs with 2 pints.

I was using the '6-packs' with the 4 once cans. One pack gave me enough for the subframe, spindles, firewall & LCAs in my 77.

In most cases, I did one coat. When tacky I misted the parts with eastwood self-etch primer then topcoated with rattle cans. Except the LCAs, all POR - 2 coats. After a few days of curing, they are pretty hard.
