hi all,
last winter i do the brake upgrade on my 1979 Camino from drum brakes on the rear end to disc brakes.
i ask many peoples for detailed instructions for adjusting and set up the parking brake.
the calipers are from a 1985 cadillac seville / eldorado
i can not find in any manual a simply description for adjusting the parking brake.
please tell me the tricks for this stuff:hmm:

The pistons screw into the caliper - see the holes/indents in the piston? They make a cheap tool to do that-any parts store will probably have it. Once they are installed, you adjust with the e-brake. Operating e-brake is mandatory with those calipers. And you have to use it everytime or they fall out of adjustment and often freeze up.

To set the pad when installing, turn the adjuster so it moves the pad closer the to rotor, then attatch the parking brake arm and make sure it lines up. It takes a few tries i also found the procedure on the internet when i rebuilt my calipers last year, they have been on the car for 12 years! I have never had problems with adjustment or locking up, and i rarely use the parking brake. Meke sure you adjust them before bleeding, i think.

Good luck
