      Blacked out lights

After doing a friend's ugly Euro lights, I had some of the VHT Black out paint so I decided my stock lights could use a fresh look. What do yall think?

      Shaun,

It looks good, especially with the other black accents. How do you like the VHT? I bought some in order to smoke the clear corners on my '01 SS. After two attempts (even had my pops, who used to be a body man make the second attempt) I broke out the laquer thinner, stripped the lights and bought some window tint to smoke them with. I was getting a ton of fish eyes and incredibly uneven paint distribution, even though it was being applied as near-perfect as we could manage. Not to mention it was very dull. It seems you had different results. Did you use a coat of clear over the nightshades?

I cleaned everything really well and wet sanded the surface with 1000 grit, cleaned everything again, sprayed 3 coats ( 1 guide coat and 2 heavy, glossy coats), then 30 minutes later clear coated it.

The taillights on my friend's Camaro came out really well but you cant see ANY color through them at all. I did 4 coats on his. You can still see my amber turn signals a little.
