hey all,

Im chasing some spindles for my chrysler and my options down here in aus are a bit limited in what i can buy.

Im going to build a double a arm front end to replace the torsion bars with so i can do some track days and hill climbs so it handles better

Now to the point of the story, what im after is could some one do some measurements on some c4 spindles for me, what i need is could you measure the distance between the top and bottom ball joints (outside to outside faces) and also the distance fromt the bottom ball joint to the centre line of the hub so i can work out some rough positions on the car to see if these will work.

Ultimatley id like some afx spindles but unfortunatley the budget wont stretch that far when i can get some vette ones from trusty ol ebay on the cheap.

If some one thats running these could take a few specs for me i'd be really greatful

cheers sean

85 Corvette. Outside balljoint flush mount surfaces are right at 9&5/8". Lower balljoint mount to centerline of hub is right at 4&5/8".

No, I don't know if they are all the same or not. One difference is the newer ones (86 & up) have a hole for anti lock brake sensors.

They altered the length of the upper and lower control arms so they are not a straight fit on the 67-79 camaro well on my 96 1s anyway would they be C5 ?.

What is the spindle on the right from? Looks like Camaro, but I can't be sure.
I'm also wondering if there is much difference in the king pin angle.

Thanks for those specs obsin71Ls1,
that really makes things easy,
its good when you can take measurements on the car and you dont even have the parts sitting there!!!

much appreciated

cheers sean

2nd gen camaro spindle. i don't know the specific #s on the kingpin inclination angle on the 2 spindles but visually they seem close.

can you post a larger pic of just the C4 spindle so I can see the kingpin inclination and other specs? Thanks,

Marck

unfotunetly that diagram does not include the measurement for the kingpin inclination angle. if you want, i can post an actual pic of the c4 spindle I have.
