I am picking up a set of recaros next week out of a 4th gen F-body for my 69 Camaro. They come with tracks set-up for the 4th gen. Anyone know how much work to adapt them to a gen1 F-body, or should I look for different set of tracks instead?

It is easy as long as you have access to a welder. I believe someone on here or another camaro site has a couple of pics or diagrams of how they did it. I put 4th gen seats in my 69. We just cut the back mounting brackets off, turned them to match the rear mounting holes and re-welded. Fronts matched up perfectly. I also put seat extenders on. I'm 6'1'' and I needed to get back away from dash. The extenders put me back 2'' more inches. Feels great now. My seats are also power, they came out of a 2001 Camaro.

thanks - ya - welder is no issue. I would also like to be back another couple inches from stock as I am 6' and all the way back isn't quite enough for me. Even 1 more inch would be good. Gee, taken out of context...... heh..
but that also depends how thick the seats actually are and etc. I'll have to mock it up and see how it lays out, but good to know generally it can be done w/o too much trouble. I wasn't counting on a bolt in deal or anything!!
