Just curious as to what tires everyone is running, why they are running them and how they like them. I am currently running Dunlop SP9000s' on my 1969 Dodge Charger and don't really care for them.
So basically I need opinions... any help would be appreciated.
thanks - Mike

There is a large selection of tires availible but now it comes down to price..... Michelins tend to be expensive and kumho, general are on the little cheaper side. if i had a choice id say kumho for price sensitive, i have them on my 01 and they are great. on my 78 that im working on now it will be Michelins only because they have the larger widths avail.

Hey Mike,
I've got Kumho Ecsta MX on my 4th gen and I love them. The price is pretty good ($240 for 295s) they seem to be wearing well (only have 3k on them) and the handling is superb. They hook pretty well, too. Definitely recommended.

I am now running Nitto NT555's, a little harder tire than the Kumho Ecsta MX. But they should hold their own in the rain if necessary (I don't know from personal experience--yet), and they should wear pretty well. I have heard nothing but good in other reviews.
These tires are awesome, they have handled everything I've thrown at them sofar. They just grab and hold on in the corners. They seem to lauch pretty hard, too, although I don't have tons of power.
I can say the Nittos are a great tire, I would buy them again. Who cares if "Nitto" is a stupid-sounding name?

I am now running some sumitomo htrz and am very happy with them. Got 275/40/17's online for $88 a piece also so the price is very nice.

Im running bf goodrich kdw and kdws in 235/45/17 and 285/40/17s. Im happy so far. They have handled eveything that I have been able to put them through with the v6 and auto right now. My feelings may change if/when the v8 and 5spd come into play. They ride really well on the interstate and in town. The ware on the tires seem to be good, but I have only put a about 1k on the tires.
