Am I the only one that has noticed that the retail price of a set of these types of wheels often exceeds the market value of the car they are mounted on?

Build a bigger wheel/tire combo. and "someone" will buy it. I'm sure that car rides like a dream.

yeah it does look stupid, it was mainly made for the larger lifted SUV's. who the hell wants to spend 10 grand for rims????? One thing i am curious about though is how the hell do they raise the front? the rear is easy i did that back in my jeeping days.

Yeah.... I don't get it either.
I was watching 'pimp my ride' the other night (it was seriously the only thing on, and I couldn't sleep), and they took a some kind of car and put 24's on it. They used S10 spindles and something else to the thing jacked up high enough to fit them in there... silly. The lower control arms had to have been at least at a 45 degree angle.
BUT... Those guys probably don't understand us either... so I guess all is fair.

I never understood lifting your car to get huge wheels on it. That must give the worst ride and, in the city, a pothole would put a $5000 dent in your bling-bling. I remember when kids used to do stupid things to get attention in grade school, but we grew out of it.
The same school of thought to ruin a car in a different way.
That's the "Big City Pimp" version. Here's the "Rural Rasputin" version.
