      gas cap

well I put the gas cap off til the last thing hoping that I would get one of the legendary billet gas caps but my two year project is soon to be complete and I have been wanting to put the final bling on it with a legendary billet cap but i guess it takes longer to build caps than cars just kidden larry dont kick me off, but I am going to order the cap tomorrow. I guess it will just be a plain ole stock ss cap unless.

I would like one of his caps also, my car has been done for awhile. Well are they ever really done? But I think that would make a nice addition. Go with a stock one then it will look all that much better when Larry's are ready.

      Might consider this

I just installed a monza style cap at reasonable price. This is a 2.75 cap that fits great in the recessed area around the filler nozzle.

Looks like a nice set up.
Can you please provide more info on your set up such as part #s, where did you source the part, and $$. Also, how did you plumb to your gas tank/fuel cell--any photos?

      Thanks

The parts can be found at www.batinc.net I used the 2.75 Aston Filler Cap (AST275) $98.50 and the Flange Funnel (FLAF275) $61.95. They can also sell you a 45 degree hose which also works well or I'm sure you can get the same hose at a local parts store for less. I just measured the difference between flang hose and tank then cut my old metal gas line pipe to fit. Couple of hose clamps and your good to go. The cap is vented but can also be modified for unvented. One other part was a 3/8 spacer I had made to have the cap sit more flush w/ the rear panel $25.00. The cap opens and has a stop so it will not swing all the way down and hit the bumper and scratch it.

Looks nice. I was thinking of doing the same after I saw the Baldwin Camaro. How did you mount it to the tail panel? Do the holes line up with the factory ones?

I have a barely used SS cap if you need one.
