I tried to bleed my brakes today and my master cylinder would not produce any pressure. The brake fluid would just bearly run out of the calipers. I'm thinking that I might not have enough pedal travel or something of that nature. I'm running a hydroboost from a G van, does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

The output push rod has to be the right length to go into the master properly.

I did a swap from an astro recently...

It looks like it is a bad master... The master in question is a Brand New Wilwood 1-1/8" Aluminum Tandam Master Cylinder that is not producing and pressure. Do these things normally go bad? I took a master off of a 1995 Caprice with the police package and there was a ton of pressure. Does anyone know what the bore size is on the Caprice with the police package, also what are the high and low pressure thread sizes?

I called Wilwood and told them about my faulty Master. They had me run tests on it and determined that it was indeed faulty. Then they told me that the only way that they can return a part is if I send it to them and they test it. If it is broken then they will send a new part out.... They said this can take up to three weeks..... Wilwood said that I should call the retailer and have then return that part, they said is it easier that way. I called Power Brake Service they were very helpful and they are going to exchange that part and they are covering shipping. Power Brake Service is a great company and I would recommend purchasing from them! Wilwood on the other hand could not have had a worse return policy. I have never had a company give me so much trouble with a defective part..
