I recently bought a 68 camaro and I have been reading up on aftermarket suspension options. I was looking into initially buying an aftermarket complete subframe that is designed more for touring than drag racing. I want to spend about $4000 dollars and I know that 21st century, and dse will cost me closer to $7000 for the fully built aftermarket subframe. To be honest though this will not see much track time, probably 0.2% of the time will I ever be on the track. But I do like somewhat spirited drives in the canyons of california and 98% of the time will be a street cruiser/stoplight dragster. I was wondering if I should just forgo the whole aftermarket subframe and compromise with a powdercoated upgraded stock frame. If I go that way what components will I need. I was looking at the DSE suspension package plus disc brakes. Please if you guys have any advice please let me know.

Look into our AFX spindle package. It has more camber gain than a Guldstrand mod or DSE stage 3 kit, and has better bumpsteer and bearings than anything offered on the market, short of $7K subframes.

Combined with a set of DSE or Global West control arms, and a good 670 steering box, you can have all of the perks and handling of these frames for a fraction of the cost.

Here is a frame we re-did that uses our tall AFX spindles, GW tubular upper and lower control arms with a QA1 coil over, and our 670 P/S box. We fully rewelded all the factory frame seams, and powdercoated it black for durability.
