How about this? C6 Z06 drivetrain and suspension. Stretched the wheelbase forward about 5"

Well you may wana give it a bit more thought than that, also aside from width, the brakes, i believe some gusseting in the spindles, bolt pattern, and some coolers c6z suspension is the same as a c5 which is no doubt cheaper so id start there.

With all the work that would be needed you may as well start with a hollowed out shell and build it up from there...

oh, I was thinking you were thinking of keeping it rear engined. nevermind.

I say go for it:headbang: the power to weight ratio would be insane!

Looks good. Try raising the wheel openings and inch or so and ever so slightly flare the openings.
I've seen a few Corvairs that have been dropped onto '80s A/G chassis. They even use the A/G firewall and floor.

That would be sweet!
Speaking of power to weight ratio, I've been kicking around the idea of stripping down a mini and making a full frame to house the suspension, motor, & trans off of a STI or Evo8. I think it could be one hellofa daily driver...
