I'm just curious if anyone else who installed shockwaves on the front of a car had any trouble with the upper mount nylock nuts. Mine are so tight on the shockwave studs that I have to hammer them down to the threads, and pretty much can't tighten them without crossthreading. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong? Or have a solution for this? I know I've got the right nuts--They didn't get shipped with my kit originally, so they came all alone in a seperate package.

Do the nuts look anything like this?

In that case you just thread it on the bolt and tighten it until the nylon part locks it.

yeah, they're similar, but about half the height (height being the vertical dimension when laying flat on a table). The upper section of the front studs are not threaded--they're smooth/rounded on two sides and notched on the other two to allow a wrench to be locked on. The nylon section won't fit over this smooth part to get down to the threads unless you take a deep socket and a hammer to it and force it over the stud. Once there, it's wedged so tight that it cannot be properly threaded.
