i got tire of simply measuring with a ruler and pieces of wood, so i decided to just borrow a wheel from a friend of mine to see how it fit my car.
the wheels were 18x10 w/ 5.5 inches back and a 295 tire. i have a 67 camaro, with the rear fender lip completely trimmed off and a mild pull with a fender rolling tool.
the wheels FIT. WITH an inch between the inner fender and the tire. an offset of 5.75 to 6 would have probably been ideal, but the 18x10 w/ 5.5 fit just fine.
my car is lowered via hotchkis leafs, and there was about 1.5 inches wheel gap. the car could definently go down another inch with no problems whatsoever.
so there you have it. thats my contribution to the forum.
