Wheel/Tire question

I plan on running BFG KDW2's on my'66 Chevy 2 Nova project. Front will have 18/40 and rear will run 18/35. My question is if I run an 8" wheel in front and a 10" wheel in back what size/width tire should I run? I was thinking about 245's for the front and 295's for the back. I will be minitubbing the rear and putting a new front clip for the front, probably an Alston, Morrison or Wayne Due. I would like to get the sidewall to run parallel with the rim and not bulge out. Oh....I will be putting them on these:

How wide can I go in front without having rubbing issues when I try and make a u-turn?

If your running a Wayne Due front you can go 9" (245) with the right back space. Your safe at 8" but 9's will give you the wall you want.

Don't go crazy with the BS though...and measure! measure! measure! before you buy. Might be better off buying your rims and tires last.

Thanks Mr. Quick but how about the rears? I'm thinking of either going exotic and installing an SVT IRS or go traditional and put a stick axle with Lateral Dynamics 3 bar/Watts setup. Do you think I can go 295 with either one of these setups? Hell, I'm even thinking I may go real old school and slap on one of HRTH's truck arms. What do you think will be best for road racing/Street car? I want to have a REAL deep dish on the front and back! Do you know what Wayne Dues hub to hub measurement is? This way I can calculate the BS before buying the wheels. I figure the Nova has approximately 70" from ID fender to ID fender. I know I can buy the Morrison IFS w/ C5 components in either 57 1/2" or 61 1/2" hub to hub so this means that, with the narrower 57 1/2" hub to hub, I should be able to put a 9" wheel with a 3" BS?

With the size of the rear i'd run a 3 link or some other straight axle set up. SVT rear IRS would take some enginnerring and might not even be close to what a 3 link would offer. Figure what you want to do then set your budget.

Way ahead of you! I've been talking to Mark Magers at Lateral Dynamics. If I go that route it will probably be with his product. I think I will talk to Maximum Motorsports first though and see what they have to say on the subject. They do SVT rears all day long and may be able to give me some insight into what would be best in my application.
