Where on the axles do you mean? We are talking about halfshafts in the rear axle?
In that case, the width may be incorrect, as there was different widths between Impala SS' and the 9C1/police cars (both had rear discs in '94-up). The spline count is wrong, they have 30, your axle 28. Last on my mind is the bolt circle, which is 5x5" vs your 5x4.75".
I'd rather do a swap with parts from '98-'02 LS1 F-body, or '93-'97 LT1 F-body. With your staggered rear shocks (if still stock), you may have to use two assemblies from one side to clear (one caliper forward, one rearward). Do a search, as the swap is one that's done a lot of times before.

I think he wants to swap the brakes.

IIRC the axle "stick out" (flange to housing dim) is different on the big car disc brakes. I remember reading up on this on an impala ss site a while back. Found a set cheap, but too much trouble to make work, for me.

I could be wrong about the stick out dimension.
Here's a place to start your search for more info:

Good Luck! Keep us posted on your progress.

Yes, so did I - I just assumed he thought about using the B-body half-shafts to avoid redrilling the boltcircle in the discs, or worry about the hub diameter problem. (Talking about axle "thickness")
If you read it again, you'll see I recommended F-body LS1 rear discs, but I didn't make it clear I was talking about brake assemblies, not half-shafts at that time - sorry about that.
Edit - I'm actually looking for a set of ImpalaSS/9C1 rear discs in the 5x5" bolt pattern, don't know about shipping over here though...

i was wondering about the impala brakes because i noticed that the piston on those brakes are bigger than on the lt-1 f-body. but if it doesent work out i will do the f-body swap
thanks again fellas
