Well...lets just say its a "two tone" lol.. Long story short, the paint store and I got in an argument and I took thier word, and now the paint doesnt match! So all that work I've done was a waste cuz now I gotta repaint half the car!! GOOD TIMES! LOL!

Alan & crew and I will be there with the Cuda. We've got our fingers crossed. I've been in the final 5 several times. Hope this is my year. I can't top this car, so if it doesn't win, I need to find something else to do.

I'll second that.
One thing I like about racing over car shows, is that whenever you go out and flog everybody's asses, the contest is done. No judges to decide and all the other political BS.

shoulda, woulda, coulda, we know how that works. I would feel a lot more comfortable if Popular Hot Rodding was overseeing Street Machine of the Year like in the past. I don't know who is going to be spearheading it this year. Hope it's not Year One...lol..don't think so since Bud's black Mustang they built will be in the running. maybe even the Roadrunner Convt. or another car or two they built. Alan will be devasted if it doesn't win. he's put his heart and soul into this car. Losing at SEMA and Year One didn't sit too well with him. Guys that really know cars, know whats gone into this build. Thats why I knew if I got in the Year One Bash Foose 100, he would pick it. I still don't understand why Year One didn't want it to be in the show. I just had to get some relief from the debacle at the Year One Experience. Hopefully Columbus will be the closure Alan and I want and need.

Wayne and I will be there.

But, we are having trouble with the tow truck. AGAIN... :-(

So, unless we come up with an alternative, it looks like we will be driving the SN65 the whole way.

Only about 400 miles. Baring traffic, we should be able to cover that distance in about 3.5 hours... :-)

Hi Bob,

I am sure that you will do well at this show. You have a fantastic car and, if I were a betting man, I would bet the house that it walks away with SMOTY.

But then again, that, and $1.85 will get you the flavor of the day at Starbucks.

As I see it, the only issue you may have (in this competition) is that your car is so very "exteme". The more extreme a car becomes, the less appealing it is to the main stream audiance. Also, you start appealing to a more and more specific segment of the hobby.

On one hand, our car does very well at Ford specific shows. On the other, we do not do well at the local "Steak and Shake" cruise night.

I wish you (and your car) the best and look forward to seeing you there.

Maybe you can go work for Bob and Wayne cranking out show wining SN65's:dunno:.
Honestly though...very awesome Cuda, you'll get yours some day, in the mean time enjoy having something EVERYONE else wants!!! Look forward to seeing it in person at Pigeon Forge! But if I had to vote between it and SN65...:hammer::rolleyes::help!::dunno:...I think I would hurt myself. or maybe it's wet myself???

It was great meeting up with you guys; Bob, Steve, Bill, Brandon and I'm sure I'm missing a few others. Spoke to guys at the booth with PT and Lat-G shirts on, but didn't catch the names. Great show, great cars, good times.....who knew you could drift a HHR as well:dunno: Ahhhh rental car abuse!

Congrats Bob/Alan on a job well done. You guys definitely deserve it.

So what did everybody think of the Downs 69 Camaro body?

Pics posted soon.

The Year One Bash had a 100 car preregistered field that Chip Foose was going to pick his favorite car from. Kevin King wouldn't let me enter it since I wasn't pre registered..said it wouldn't be fair. it's a long story..it was discussed in a Year One Braselton Bash thread on here or Musclerides...It was very bizarre..I did wind up going.. much to Kevins chagrin, and won..after Chip Foose picked a 57 Desoto Adventurer and matching boat, he then announced he had 2 picks and picked my car also..They just had to watch me sweat a little...I just knew there was no way he wouldn't pick my car..He knows cars as good as anyone on the planet..Even after he picked the Desoto, I just knew he was going to pick my car too...
