Fuel tank access panel in trunk

I'd like to cut an access panel in the trunk to reach my in-tank pump without dropping the tank. Any suggestions on the best way to do this?

I bought one from Rock Valley tanks for mine, it works good. It is stainless I believe. They sell a couple of different size ones. They are a bit pricey, but that is the price you pay if you can't fab one yourself.
