Well I gave it a shot and installed a 4 point seat belt in the rear of my 69 camaro. I have small kids who love to ride in the car but with lap belts only and a convertible, it made the wife nervous. So I decided to use this set up. Convertibles are blessed with a SOLID rear seat rest piece that runs the entire lenght of the rear seat so I had plenty of material to run it to. I attached it at two points in back of the panel and reinforced them with extra wide heavy duty washers and bolts welded to the rear of it. The mounting points are about 3 inches above where their shoulders would be and the lap belts when test fitted with them in the car sat squarely on their pelvis. I have connected the bottom of them to the original lap belt mounting locations. It is very very strong, much better than just lap belts alone so this is a vast improvement. It also allows me to tuck the whole deal under the boot and in the seat for certain car shows that deduct points for non original equipment. The original belts are still intact mounted with this setup. I have attached a pic of how it looks. Let me know your comments.

I like the concept of your seatbelt mod. I have bought Morris Classic Concepts 3 point kit for the front of my A-body. And was unsure about doing the rear of my coupe. But let me give one observation. Your rear belts are like an "X". In a hard stop your little kids probably would "submarine" under the bottom of the harness "X".

Yea I know it looks like that in the picture but I pull up the seat belts up in an x for picture purposes. I have lowered the lap belt so that it will fit straight across the pelvis area.
