View Full Version : Recaro "Sport" Seats... anyone sat in them?

Looking to order some new seats for my car within the next few weeks.

I'm down to Recaro Sports, Recaro Speeds, or Sparco Torinos or Milanos.

My #1 choice right now is the Recaro Sport based on looks and materials available. Has anyone sat in them? How is the side bolstering? I'm looking for very "aggressive" bolstering but still want reasonable ingress/egress.

I've sat in a set of Torino's and really liked them but I do prefer the looks of the Recaro Sport. Can't find any around here to go sit in. For those that have sat in both, how does the bolstering compare between the Sports and the Tornio/Milano?

Thanks...

I've had the Recaro STYLE seats in my last two cars and they are more comforable and supportive seats on planet earth.. I will eventually put them (SPORTS) in my '68 Camaro

The STYLE is the headrest version of the SPORT. Recaro's fit and finish are second to none.

Steve, not asking for a date or anything (LOL) but what's your height/weight?

Reason I ask is that I can pass for a Q-tip if I wear a white helmet-- I'm 5'10" 150 lbs. I don't want a seat I slide side to side in (or off the side like my current factory buckets with zero bolstering...)

I sat in the Sports I really like them. They have a nice feel and hugged me very well. I'm 6'2"...200lbs with a 34" waist.

6-foot and 180lbs.. 33 waist.. they fit well and are very adjustable. the bolsters adjust in quite a bit.

Adjustable bolsters?!? Cool! They don't even list that feature.

I think Recaro can consider a pair sold. Coming up, one pair in black alcantara/black & gray jersey...

Just so you know, it is only the Style seats that have the adjustable side bolsters. Steve is right, they are great seats. Find a Recaro dealer that has a showroom if you can. That's what I did before laying down the cash. The Sport is a very comfortable seat as well, but the style was more adjustable. Either way, you can't go wrong with Recaro. I am about your size, and both seats fit me well.

The only advantage the Sport seats have are the pass throughs that I HAVE to have..

For a few bucks more they will stich the name in a different color.. Oh, and don't get the power option. It's nice (the heaters and cooling deal with elec recline) BUT it does rais up the seat about an inch.

Is that fabric some kinda camo pattern? Is it different colors or just differing textures?

I think it's a multi-colored black/gray pattern. I wasn't too into the cloth stuff from Recaro for that reason. It is very high quality, but it always looked kinda 80's to me. Very nice 80's looking seats though :)

Steve,
you told me the same thing before I got my seats, but I wound up buying the power ones anyway due to an incredible deal that came my way. I would have paid more for the manual versions. They sit a good amount lower (with the seat lowered all the way) than the Corbeau TRS seats that I had in the car before. I was happy about that, because I was worried they were going to sit really high. The heaters are nice too.

Blown 353,

I have some nice Recaro seats with brackets for a 69 F-body for sale.

I believe they are the same brackets for 1967-69

Pics of the seats
