ATS' 50/50 body kit

Yeah, we have one. There is a frustrating story behind the absurd delay, and I'll just give the finer points of it.
Basicly, contracted a company that had proven itself to construct and prototype amazing items for all sorts of aftermarket and OEM companies. This place made made the 2005 Mustang prototype show car, the Eleanor body kit for Gone in 60 Seconds, and even a set of one off rims for Mike Desmond's 65 Malibu.

I paid to have the body kit made in clay, have pre-production parts/molds made, and then final production parts/tooling for re-sale to the aftermarket.

We got 3/5 of the items promised. I never got production parts or molds to re produce parts with. (Even though they were paid for) The company shut its doors due to financial issues shorthly there after.

I ended up hiring a former group of (now out of work) employees from the same company that just shut its doors and quit working on my car. They were the actual people doing all the work on my car, and said they could finish the job, no problem.
I paid this group of guys to finish the work, and they did the exact same thing to me. Took my $$ and left me with un-usable parts and no molds.

So now 3 years lost, and thousands gone in capital for a failed attempt at producing a body kit, we are getting back on track.
We are releasing the 50/50 'notched' rear spoiler first, as we have now completed production tooling for the 3rd and final time. We will begin making and selling the other items as we go along. The front air dam is next. The rockers need a major re-do as the clay modeler missed the McBride design by a bunch. I think a slight re-design may be in order to update my current chassis config.

Wow. That turned into a longer than thought post. I'm glad people are still interested in the kit after all the crap it has gone through. It is hard for me to even get excited about composites anymore. I have learned a lot more about the processes and tooling designs than when I went into this as a novice 3 years ago. What an expensive lesson it was too.
