      Light Rust underneath Chevelle

I have a 72 Chevelle I bought, and planned on doing some light modifications, because my plan was to drive it. It's not a trailer queen.

I have a light film of rust underneath the car and frame. I don't want to do a frame off and was wondeing if there is a quick easy fix. I have a new powder coated rear and Global West Cat 5 Suspension, with Wilwood brakes, plus a new Magnaflow 3" exhaust. I don't want to screw this stuff up.

Can the bottom be undercoated? Again I'm not looking for a show car.

Don't do undercoating over the rust... Any moisture that gets in there will quickly rot holes as it won't dry out.
If you don't want to get labor intensive you have a couple of alternatives. By a few cans of rust converter at wallyworld and spray everything underneath that looks rusty. It will turn a blue/black color that can then be covered with chassis paint.
With a little more work (and mess) you could cover everything with POR 15. It will convert the rust like the spray but it also leaves a tough coating that looks real nice.
I would opt for the rust converter spray and then cover that with cheap black spray paint... It will look good and is easy to touchup if the need arises.

Can this process work for the underdash area as well?
And what the heck is Wallyworld?

Do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before? Are you out there on the front lines, or at home keeping score?
Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate? Would you rather be the architect of what we might create?
