View Full Version : Advice on Buffing/Polishing aluminum

ive got a set of wheels that i need to do some fine detail work on. what do you guys recommend as far as materials to use to buff the billet aluminum to a high polish?

the air tools i have are cutoff and 90 handhelds and a dremel. help with what wheels and/or compound, im lost here! TIA

Eastwood makes a kit for polishing aluminum that I've used with good success, although it's for a 6" buffer. Certainly the buffing compounds would work on wheels as well as trim, you'd just need the right type of buffing supplies. Maybe check their website.

from Lowes or Home Depot and some elbow grease
