BBS-Like Wheels For A Ford
I'm still hunting for wheels and I'm looking for a BBS style mesh wheel with a 5-4.5 bolt pattern. Does anyone have any leads as to who makes some and have correct backspacing? I don't want true BBS wheels since I don't have $800/wheel to spend, so anything that comes close in appearance will do.
Looking at 17X8 and 17X9 or 9.5 width, 4.5" and 5.5" backspacing respectively.

Some BMW wheels fit, and IIRC they are BBS's... but you can get em used for cheaper. Not surer about sizes...
What's your budget, there are many options.

Most BMW wheels fit GM cars. Ford bolt patterns are 5 on 114.3, the same as many Japanese imports. I too was looking for mesh style wheels for my Mustang, but gave up because most were out of my budget or too narrow w/fwd offset. Boyd makes a mesh wheel in the $500 ea. range, which isn't as much as you describe but still expensive (to me anyways). Good luck with your search!

I had never seen another set of Voxx wheels other than on my mustang (on it when I bought it)... Wild.
06-08-2006 #7If I had a GM bolt pattern these would be great, but mine translates to a 5-114.3 pattern where these are 5-120. Thanks for the link though! They'd be oh so pretty on my car.

06-08-2006 #8I'd like to stay under $400/wheel. Anything more than that and I'll get some Vintage Wheel Works Vintage 60's or 48's. Those are $300 in my sizes.

06-08-2006 #9Do you have a picture of your car with the wheels?

06-08-2006 #10How about these? The last one is BBS, but they are only like $338/each from TireRack.
The ASA's are licensed by BBS and are made to the same standards structurally. I can't comment on the finish though. BTW-I have owned 2 cars with BBS rims similar to these and 1 car with these exact ASA's. I thought they were all good.
I can't comment on the ATI's. I don't know anything about them.
BTW-These are all in 18X8 and on TireRack. Oh and your car has the same bolt pattern as the 93, 94, 95 RX-7.
You can call and ask them about Offset and BS on the particular models.
