      Drop springs with edelbrock shocks

      I have a question,
I have a full hotchkis suspension with a 1 1/2 drop springs on my trans am. I recently bought a set of edelbrock ias shocks. The problem I am having is that the bottom shock is about 1/4 inch to long when bolting it to the bottom shock mount. Should I trim the bushing at the top of the shock to compensate?

      Any heklp would be appreciated.

Can you compress the shock using a jack until you get it bolted up, or is the shock physically completely collapsed and still doesn't fit? A stock length shock should still work with the slightly shorter springs.
