I would be in. Wouldn't they be the same for 67-69? There is a shop here in Milwaukee I know of. If I had an idea how many would sell, I could ask him about making them.

On a related note, has anyone had any experience with the carbon fiber cowl hood that Year One has listed?

Have you contacted VFN fiberglass? They once told me that everything they make in glass, they also make in carbon fiber.

I have a carbon fiber front spoiler but it is an integral piece of the whole front end. Actually, the whole front bumper/lower valence/spoiler are all one piece.

I have thought about designing 2 different front spoilers for the 1st gen cars. One would be a stock one and the other would have brake coolers ducts molded in. It would take me a couple of months to get it designed make a mold and make some parts.
I have no clue on price.

speedster... go wash your keyboard with soap... i just got rice poisoning from looking at that site.. :-)

meanwhile back in the real world i really like the idea of making a fromt airdam with the correct vintage look and doing a run in carbon fibre... i would however propably have someone with experience vacuumbaging do the actual production run

One of the other sites that I watch is turbomustangs.com There is a guy(paulbird) that built his entire 96 cobra for the NASA circuit. He had posted an article about makeing the body panels, and one sweet carbon fiber toilet seat.
Anyway he had said tHAT HE MAY BE WILLING TO MAKE SOME C/F PARTS FOR OTHERS. If you would like to do it yourself. that article shows how he learned and haow he learned through trial and error. check it out its pretty good.heres the link

I am planning on making just such a part, along with a few others for my car. I'd prefer to just buy it, since working with composites is nasty. But if no one steps up to the plate I will be making the front spoiler, along with a slightly tweaked version od the stock spoiler for the rear. I was retired from the CF biz, after all the stuff I made for the 4th gens back in 02.. but now that my 67 is done mechanically, I want to add a few custom parts that you can't get in the catalog and carbon fiber ideas keep jumping into my head.

-datsbad- You're thinking exactly what I was... two or three adjustable prop rods for the front ....
