I have a 67 RS camaro with 15's right now, and want to go with 13" rotors on new disc brakes. To do this I have to upgrade the wheels I want to ride on . I am about to get a set of 18x8 for the front and 20x10 for the rear....but a few friends are telling me to go 18x8 front and 18x10 in the rear. I need pics, and backspacing specs on the WIDEST 20" wheel I can fit in the rear. I have a relocation bracket mounted in the back to give me more clearance for wider tires ( by 2" ), and am running traction bars FYI. ---
ps. if you are running these combos, what tire sizes fit without rubbing?! YOUR HELP IS APPRECIATED, THANKS---
So far all I can find to fit is : 18x7 in the front with 4" back space
20x8.5 in the rear with 5.25" back space

i dont know about actualy wut will fit on it with no rubbing on a 67....but my dad has a 10" wheel on his 69.....with a 28" tall slick (like a 275/35/20 or 40 series somewhere around 28") anyway it does rub no prob.....but do the 18's an 20's u will be very happy....i have 18's and 20's on My 71 Torino...and i love it....no rubbing unless i have a lot of weight( fat people) in the car specailly in the rear...but only when i going over a hill....but thats my car....not sure on urs....wish the 20x10's were out when i ordered mine they werent availabe till the 15th of May ordered them in april...but i love them....http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/4/223778.html..my torino....envey of every1 at school...yes still in high school...

You will not fit a 10" rim on a 67 w/o minitubbing it. I would go with the 18/18 combo. IMHO it looks better and it will handle better.

I would think a 10" would work as long as you have 5.75" backspacingand nothing larger than a 275. On my '68 the limit is the wheel well though, not the leafs. Don't forget you need some clearance for side to side movement.
My 68' is Minitubbed with 17X10's on the back. No way a 20X10 will fit without a Minitub job unless you leave the car real high in the back 70's style:eek: Probably gotta go with 20x8.5 or 9. Also the stance is very important. I think 20's can look good on a Camaro but it's gotta be slammed! Big wheels on a car with a too high stance can make you look like one of those "Donk" cars that springing up! Pleeeease don't do that!

my car doesnt look like those at all..plan on slamming it compleatly 1 day full airbag suspension...1 day
i got a good stance on my car....mainly cuz my car is a big car....i have a 275/40/20 on my rear....no rubbing unless the car is weighed down....and i think i found 1 problem with when i go over speed bumps...the exhaust bracket broke so i got stuck underneath my shock and above my rear end....so i made a weird sound....but its on there....i have air shock in the rear...so i lowered it...and the front isnt big at all....245/40/18...plenty of sidewal to run of the road....:drive2: ...LOL....ive done it b4.....but stance is important....but i really belive it will fit no problem...the only reason i dont have the 20x10 is cuz they just realeased them last week...wish i could have got them cuz they have like a 6-7" lip on rim regardless of backspacing..
my car b4 thw wheels i will updat this page soon:fingersx:....oh an the 1 with white lin above is whut i want it 2 look like...i can do it so u cant tell that i did that in paint but just wanted to do it quick...some otha pics suck cuz i took them on my old pda..the rims by themsevles are the 18x7" rims

Wow, I like it! I actually like that better than I like the way 20's look on a Camaro. They look right at home on your car. Good choice

I've got 18's and 20's on mine. I would've been able to get a 10" rim to fit if the backspacing was absolutely perfect, but even doing that would leave you very little room for clearance. Stick with the 8", you'll be better off in the end.
Donk/bunk? I don't think so.

Happy,,,,Your combo looks tight !! What size tires are you running?? And no minitubs on that??? That 67 vert is looking good.
Also watch out for that ladder,,, they can get jealous and fall over,,,marring your beautiful paint,,,,LOL......

Thanks man. Tires are Kuhmo 255/35-18 and 255/40-20 in back. (no mini-tub)I think thats what they are.....it's been a while since I ordered them. I thought about the ladder as well, so to fix it, I just sold the house. I've got a brand spankin new 900sqft attached garage that I need to fill with toys.

funny that u ask about those coys wheel.........I love them no1 around my has them (excepet 1 guy i saw who live around 80miles away no lie) they all have a deep lip regardeless of backspacing...cheaper than an TTII .....(imo they look better) they dont have those ridges like the Torq Thrust......but.....shipping....
it took them 4weeks to send me a product that shiped in 4days
first i ordered on a friday....they said around tuesday.....(im thinking next tuesday....well that was wrong on my part)....
then i call and find out they are really supposed to show up on saturday......guess whut no rims......
okay....i have to wait until monday to call.,....get the traking number..(never left Ohio)...okay then when i call again...it seemed like he had an attitude cuz i wanted to know where my rims were......
week 3 Now they show up on time on saturday...but i only have the front 2 rims......
have to wait till monday....now i wasnt to happy since my gradfather wasnt to willing to let me use his credit card (cuz im 17) an he had had money stolen of his credit card before....
i call an they have no clue why they werent shipped out but seem again upset that i kept calling....n said this "your rims will get there when they get there" huh....im spending alot money n expect you guys to send me sumthing an u tell me that......okay so cant do much but wait (cant do much else) they show up on friday....but since Fedex sucks they didnt get to my house till saturday....and i realy wanted to make a carshow....
.well they are on there....n i love them even though i went through 4 wks of terror
dont let my situation keep you from getting rims from them.....its realy because those 20" rims werent DOT approved....so the company that truely makes them, kept pushing the delivery date back...so they cant sell something they dont have...
i realy wanted to 20x10 so bad.....if i knew all this junk would have happened i coulda got them.....but o whell......
18x7 + 20x8.5 = 1000 shipped for polished
Just to make sure I am understood. I never said 20's on a Camaro will make your car look "Donk" unless of course it is too high. Done right the 20's look unreal! That Vert is sweet! I want to switch out my 17x8/17x10 combo to 18x8/20x10. I even have a set of Billet Specialties Fatlip wheels at home 18x7/20x8.5 brand new that I bought for my 61' Bubbletop 409 before someone came up with the money to buy the car. He didn't want the wheels, so now I'm stuck because they are too narrow in back to put on my Camaro. (Because of the Minitub). Anybody want to buy a set???

Call the manufacturer and see if they can rework the wheels or allow a trade.

Once I get the front clip squared up and the subframe connectors bolted to the subframe, I can take it up and get the front end aligned and lower the front end another .5" or so. It's a work in progres....you know how it is.lol

I was worried if I could fit 17 X 8 with 5" BS front and 18 X 9 with 5" BS rear on my 68 Firebird but I guess it sould be no problem since you guys are running freaking 18" and 20" Man those look nice guys.
