going with a lift off hood. but since the car has no garage to keep it safe i need a way to lock the hood down. anyone know of someone who makes stainless steel locking hood pins? i only need one on each corner, it will have dzus fasteners the rest of the way. i remember there was a blurb in PHR about some aircraft style latches but i cant find the website anymore. i think they were a little expensive anyways. i know mr. garbage makes a locking set but they arent stainless so i really dont want them.

thats who i was trying to remember. thanks steve. i dunno though...200 bucks for 4 of em, i might just be better off sticking with a bolt on hood. normally 2 in the front would be sufficient, but there are some REALLY seedy people that migrate through this area, so i want the added security.

One thing to consider..And to add to your confusion!
I would be concerned about "locking" a hood due to the inability to access the engine compartment in the event of a fire...
Just food for thought.

I paid $80 for two.. why do you need 4? (no hood hinges?)

On thing is for sure.. they are way more secure compared to hood pins.

If a crook wants in it won't matter if you have 12 of them.. it's mainly to make it less desirable to try.

no hinges, its a lift off hood. the nice thing about the aerocatch is i can leave em unlocked and theyll still latch securely, and then lock em at night. but my main reason behind the liftoff hood, besides less weight, was it was cheaper, by the time i buy those latches, i might as well have bought the bolt on hood.
