Rear drum to disk upgrade

I am getting ready to get rid of my old rear drums and install a Touring Classics C5 kit, it appears that with the stock staggered shock placement you have to put one caliper in front of the axle and one in the rear due to the shock placement. I was wondering how the staggered calipers look and was curious how difficult it would be to place both shocks on the same side of the axle so the caliper placement could be the same,and how would it affect the suspension geometry if you changed the shock placement?

I just installed the front and rear kits on my 69. The staggered calipers do not look bad. Chances are, no one would ever notice since they can't see both sides of the car at the same time. If they did notice....so? They're staggered due to the shocks. No biggie!
Good choice in kits-btw!
