I read a while back but I cant find it. It seems someone was cutting off the disc part of the stock rotors and using whats left as a hub. What conversion is this and where can I find info???

It's not my idea but this is what I'm doing on the Bad Ast Project. I can't find the original site. I had it bookmarked but it's dead in the water.
It's an easy conversion so if you have any questions ask away.

Would you like a pair?? I modified a pair (Well, had a machine shop do them for me). I also had the studs pressed out. They just need new studs pressed in. I have very little into them, if you are interested, let me know. I am going a new route with a Wayne Due or 21st Century Street Machines C4/5 subframe. I also have a pair of spindles modded as well... Email me at [email protected] if you are interested. I have everything minus the C5 calipers and carriers (I am keeping those to use them, but they can be found fairly inexpensively), including the instructions, caliper brackets, etc.

If you have any other questions I will try to help you out.

It is very easy to do. I am just finishing an LS1 brake upgrade to a 2nd gen and decided to just us the stock disk hubs. I started the cut 1/8" in back of the casting line and then had a brake shop turn the hub flange down. A fair amount of metal has to be taken off though (pic shows the two hubs together). It does push out the rotor about 1/8" over a drum hub, but a spacer does the trick.

Hope that helps.
