Hood springs

Hello, I'm in the process of installing new hood hinges and decided to change over the low tension hood springs with mini tension/traction gas springs (same as hatchback strut springs but pull instead of lift) but need to know a lb force rating to get the proper ones for what I need. They will be installed in the same location and manner as the hood springs I'm replacing (5/16" holes drilled on the spring tabs). I have a unlimited products fiberglass hood on a 78 firebird that weighs 34lbs. Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give.
