I have a black car that has been painted recently. In my opinion nothing is better than a black paint job when it is taken care of, and nothing looks worse when it is not taken care of. Expect to spend double the time taking care of the dust. At car shows have your duster handy.

Nothing shines like a black car. But on the other hand, it also shows all!(scratches, dings, bad bodywork, etc.)
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

would any of you recommend any other colors that would match a wheel with black center and polished lip?

black shows everything!!! but its worth it if you take care of it silver would go well with a black/polish wheel combo.

I hate taking care of black, that is why 5 of my vehicles are black. As a painter, it is painter pride, or showing off our bodywork abilities. It is no myth how difficult it is to get a body ready for black vs a nice sunset orange, millenium yellow, silver, arrival blue, but they are killer once done. However, with that said, It will probably be a long time before i do another indoor car black.

I like a man who buys wheels and adds a car later. Most colors would look good with that wheel color combo. But right to mind are these:

      *Silver
      *Dark metallic gray
      *Dark metallic blue
All with no stripes, or dark gray stripes, or black stripes (except on black)

Black is a royal PITA to take care of, but nothing looks better then a clean black car at night.

When done right, nothing looks nicer than a black car. But you'll be dusting it every day and spending a lot of time washing and polishing. I love the silver with black z28 stripe look now. But I won't be changing any time soon.

I make my living detailing cars amongst other things here in south florida and i can tell you that i charge more when i have to do a black car. I also do boats, choppers and even air planes and all become more difficult to do when they are black or a dark color in general. Good thing for me is that i deal with mostly people who own high end cars and don't mind spending the money. You cannot even wipe a black car with the wrong kind of towel or it will leave swirl marks behind. But , like everyone else says, nothing looks better than a black car when it's clean.
