      Wheel tubbing question

Not sure where to put this so I will start here. I have a question regarding mini-tubbing my 67' Camaro. I have been working on my car for the past couple of years and I am now getting ready to buy the rims and tires. When I started my project pro-touring was not in the picture. But as many projects go they change with the seasons. You all have inspired me keep moving on my project and move on instead of selling it. Thanks dropit69. I figure if you can cut up that beautiful convertible, I can cut mine up...I hope.... The question I have is my car is already painted inside and out. Interior is in and running the final wires to get it running. I am ready to order rims and tires. I was originaly going to put 17x8 on the back. But I wold love to put a 17 or 18 by 10 under the rear of the car. Could this still be dome on my car without screwing up the paint job? My wife would kill me if i told her I needed a new paint job. Also, what kind of cost would i be looking at to get this done?

      Thanks for all your help
      Matthew

You will have to pull out the interior. It's cheaper than covering it up with welding blankets and haveing a stray spark ignite it. You will have to repaint the areas around the tubs but you can do it without damageing the exterior paint.

The DSE minitub kit does not attach to exterior sheetmetal, and it can be done without havint to repaint the entire car, but, you have to gut the complete interior and be very careful. Here's what they did:

Thanks guys. I will check into the DSE suspension. But I am also thinking I might wait until the next project to really do it up really big.

Dropit69 you will deliver too. You are like so tempting me. You need to start working on it so I can see what all you are going to do to it. Tell you what, my car for your car plus 5G and I will meet you in Witchita Falls Texas....hahahahahaha. Now get out in that garage and start taking it apart. You have some cutting and welding to do.hahaha
