Hi guys, started splitting my time between here, FordForums.com.au and Corner-carvers.com... after I saw Monty's thread, I figured I should introduce myself aswell (we know each other from Ford forums).
Anyway, my beasty is a 1971 XY Ford Falcon GT replica (the colour was marketed as "Tru Blu", I think it matches 69/70 Boss Grabber Blue).
Currently running a 410rwhp Alloy headed (CHI heads) 351C with Toploader and 9", its had a fair bit put into the driveline. Plans are to go "Pro-Mod" with it, but with more of a "Street Fighter" bent to it. I'm designing my own front suspension to get a geometry that works better than the ubiquitous MII frontend, using a bunch of off the shelf roundy racer bits.
Basically, she'll be as follows:
Brakes: Front: Radial mount Brembos, 13" discs, Rear: 11" discs, ford calipers.
Front end: SLA using custom uprights from Coleman, arms etc from Afco/Coleman/SCP, Digressive valved Bilstein coil overs, 17x9 wheels, 245/45R17 rubber
Rear end: Live axle, 3 link (2 lower, 1 upper), watts link (or adjustable panhard), Digressive valved Bilstein coil overs. 17x10.5 wheels, 275/40R17 rubber
Driveline: Pretty much as is, but there's another 10-20 hp to be liberated.
Cosmetics: Boss429 scoop to clear a decent airfilter, composite bonnet/bootlid (Hood/trunk for you guys)
Chassis: Because of fairly restrictive laws over here, i can't go apesh!t with a tubeframe etc, so its a Half Cage and infloor subframe connectors.
Pics of the car as-is and crossed up on the skidpan:
Oh yeah, username is because its basically The australian equivalent of a 4 door Boss 302 (but the driveline is more Boss351)
Ben
