My Dad has is going to purchase a GM 572ci/620hp for his '71 Nova, but he wants to try and swap it to my '70 so we can break it in during the Power Tour. :naughty:

What are the major differences block-wise between my GenIV 454 and the 572 (tall deck)? I'd like this to be a drop-in swap utilizing my existing TKO 5-speed, headers, starter, etc., but I'm pretty sure most of that stuff is not interchangeable.

Thanks!

mount wise there the same, tranny will go,the headers wont they will not hang low enough with the tal deck.

Headman headers just came out with a header for the 572 engine . Don't know if it fits a Nova but I know there making them for the Camaro 68-69 . PART# 65576-6 for the coated ones
